Winter Weather Update

Light freezing rain will continue through the afternoon, tapering off this evening. Ice accumulation will mostly be on elevated surfaces with a glazing of ice on untreated roads. Travelers should use caution as some roads could be slick. Side roads, bridges & overpasses and parking lots will likely have some ice.

Freezing drizzle is possible late in the evening, turning to light snow overnight. Little to no snow accumulation is expected south of I-70 but areas farther northwest could get 1-3 inches through Sunday morning.

Although some areas (mainly southeast of HWY 54) will get above the freezing mark in the afternoon, falling temperatures late tonight will bring all of Mid-Missouri below freezing by Sunday morning.
