A cold front will be moving through Missouri Saturday night bringing winter weather back into Mid-Missouri. With such warm temperatures Saturday, rain will move in first Saturday night. Mid-Missouri will continue to see rain, with a few thunderstorms possible, into the overnight hours.

Then, as the colder air pushes its way into Missouri, a brief changeover into a wintry mix will be possible in the early morning hours of Sunday. This could cause a glaze of ice on roadways.

Temperatures will continue to fall during the day Sunday with afternoon temperatures in the upper 20s. With temperatures dropping, Mid-Missouri will start to see mainly snow Sunday morning and afternoon. Snow will taper off Sunday evening leaving minor accumulations for most of Mid-Missouri. Only a dusting is expected north of I-70. Heavier accumulations of 1-3 inches will be possible south of I-70.
