A weak cold front will move through mid-Missouri Thursday bringing a few clouds but temperatures will stay mild with highs near 70. The cold front will stall in south-central Missouri through Friday as an upper level wave of low pressure moves in from the west. This will cause a few showers and t-storms to develop from Friday morning through the afternoon across mid-Missouri.

A stronger cold front will bring an increasing chance of rain to the area Saturday night through Sunday. A few t-storms are possible Saturday night into Sunday morning. These will increase Sunday afternoon as an area of low pressure moves across southern Missouri.

Rainfall amounts are expected to be light Friday with a tenth of an inch or less. Heavier rain is likely with 1 to 2 inches possible from Saturday night through Sunday. Widespread severe weather is not expected Sunday but a few strong storms  can't be ruled out.
