Top wind gusts from Sunday's cold frontal passage

COLUMBIA, Mo. -

An arctic cold front ushered in significantly colder air Sunday night, along with strong northwesterly winds.

The temperature plummeted from Sunday's high of 56 to a just 6 degrees at 7 a.m. Monday. Between 8 and 9 p.m. Sunday night, the temperature fell 12 degrees in one hour at the Columbia Regional Airport.

Below is a list of the recorded wind gusts across Mid-Missouri from official reporting stations.

Columbia: 53mph
Sedalia: 53mph
Jefferson City: 49mph
Marshall: 49mph
Rolla-Vichy: 48mph
Boonville: 45mph
Centralia: 45mph
Mexico: 45mph
