The work week will end with a warm, breezy and dry day Friday but clouds will increase during the evening as a cold front approaches from the west. Showers and t-storms are expected to develop near the front and move into western Missouri around midnight, moving east overnight. The best chance of rain in mid-Missouri will be in the pre-dawn hours, with the rain moving southeast and near I-44 by late-morning Saturday. Rainfall amounts of a tenth to a quarter of an inch are expected with slightly higher amounts possible in t-storms. The second half of the day Saturday will be drier with mild temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s.
