As the jet stream stays well to the north of Mid-Missouri we will see a dry and hot end to August with a very summer like weather pattern.  The hot and humid air from the west will be moving into our area. For this weekend we have seen temperatures in the lower 90s. As we head into the work week temperatures will steadily increase towards the mid 90s with overnight lows in the lower 70s. Temperatures will peak mid week when we could see them as high as the upper 90s, but the mid 90s will stick around to end the work week. We will also be looking at more humidity, meaning it will feel even hotter than it is. For the week expect temperatures in the mid 90s, but heat indices near 100.
