Two periods of wintry weather will move into the southern half of Missouri Thursday and Friday. Light sleet, freezing rain and snow will spread in from the southwest mid to late morning Thursday, changing to all snow in the afternoon and ending by mid evening. Little or no ice accumulation is expected north of I-44 but a glazing of ice is possible south of I-44.

Light snow is expected to move in from the southwest again early Friday morning and lift as far north as I-70 before pushing to the east and ending by Friday afternoon. Overall snow totals will come in from a dusting near I-70, 1-2 inches in the Lake of the Ozarks and near 3 inches close to I-44.
