Friday night football forecast

Temperatures will be in the 90s across Mid-Missouri as many teams kickoff their seasons.

After the hottest day of the year for most of Mid-Missouri (Thursday's high at Columbia: 97°), temperatures will be slightly hotter with higher humidity.

Highs will likely reach the upper 90s across most of Mid-Missouri with heat indices as high as 105.

Temperatures will likely be in the low-to-mid 90s through the early evening with heat indices still near 100. By 8 p.m., temperatures will drop into the upper 80s and then low-to-mid 80s by 10 p.m.

Skies will be mostly clear with a southwest breeze. There a slight chance of a spotty showers late Friday night.
