September has been a hot month so far with our monthly temperature nearly 5 degrees above average. We will have one more day of above average temperatures Wednesday before relief arrives Thursday. Highs will reach into the middle 90s Wednesday afternoon under mostly sunny skies. The normal high for this date is 81 degrees.

A cold front is forecast to sweep through the region early in the day Thursday bringing a slight chance showers as cooler air moves in. Temperatures will still be warm Thursday with highs in the 80s but will only reach into the upper 70s Friday and Saturday under mostly sunny skies.
