Another round of thunderstorms is expected to develop late Thursday night into early Friday with the potential of heavy rain south of I-70. Storms will quickly develop after midnight in southwestern Missouri, spreading to the north through the night as they move east with rain tapering off Friday morning.  1-2 inches of rain with locally higher amounts are possible.

Areas that have received excessive rainfall and flooding the past couple days are at risk for extremely dangerous flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. Please monitor the latest conditions and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
