Arctic air will move into mid-Missouri Thursday night through Friday with the cold air sticking around through the weekend. Spotty light showers are possible Thursday night into Friday morning. There is a chance of sleet mixing in early Friday but amounts will be light and spotty. However, any rain or drizzle that falls Friday morning will have to be watched for possible freezing on bridges and overpasses due to faster cooling of elevated surfaces.

Showers end by afternoon with northerly winds at 10-15 mph gusting to 25 mph at times. Wind chill reachings will drop into the mid 20s during the day and low 20s Friday night. Skies clear out overnight Friday, leaving us mostly sunny and cold for the weekend.
