A cold front will slowly move through Mid-Missouri Thursday morning bringing unseasonably cold air and rain to the region. Temperatures will start off in the 50s dropping to the 40s by evening and into the upper 30s overnight. We'll have spotty showers early Friday with a chance of a shower through the afternoon. A steady, cold rain will increase Thursday evening with pockets of moderate rain moving through overnight, tapering off to showers Friday morning. Shower chances continue through the day Friday with temperatures only in the 40s. The average high for the start of May is 70 and the lowest high temperature on May 3rd is 48 in Columbia which we could tie or break Friday.
