Mid-Missouri continues to fall behind on rainfall despite getting some passing showers on Sunday and Thursday. The northern half of the area is in moderate to severe drought. Severe drought (3rd highest level of drought) has now expanded into Chariton county  and northern Randolph county. These areas were in moderate drought (4th highest level of drought) last week.

Statewide changes: Southwest Missouri is now abnormally dry. This part of the state was drought-free last week.
