Drought continues for Mid-Missouri
Updated On: Oct 03 2013 10:55:08 AM CDT
The only change to the drought map for Mid-Missouri is a slight improvement for the northeastern tip of Audrain Co. and eastern Monroe Co. from moderate drought to abnormally dry.
The remainder of Mid-Missouri has not changed in drought status from last week, so areas along and north of I-70 are in moderate-to-severe drought while areas south are abnormally dry or drought free.
Statewide numbers have not changed much either. Drought over the St. Louis area has worsened to moderate drought since last week.
Drought Free: 49.5%
At Least Abnormally Dry: 50.5%
Moderate Drought: 33.3%
Severe Drought: 14.7%
