Changing weather pattern

The dome of high pressure aloft which settled over the Midwest this week bringing hot, dry weather will shift to the southwest this weekend. This will cause our temperatures to cool a few degrees with daytime highs closer to 90 degrees into early next week.  Also, the upper level winds will come in from the northwest which will be able to carry upper level disturbances into Missouri. Forecast models show several disturbances moving through the region through Wednesday which will bring a chance of showers and t-storms each day.

Storms will be very spotty Friday night and Saturday with a tenth to a quarter inch of rain possible through Saturday night. A slightly better chance of rain moves in Sunday with an additional half inch of rain possible. Higher amounts will be possible if stronger storms are able to develop and move in from the northwest early in the day.
