The northern half of Missouri missed out on the heavy rainfall in the past two weeks and continues to be abnormally dry with some areas in a moderate drought which includes Macon and northern Chariton counties. Rainfall amounts since June 1st are anywhere from 4 to 8 inches north of I-70 but anywhere from 8 to 21 inches south of I-70 with the highest amounts in the Ozarks.

Columbia regional airport has picked up 6.37 inches of rain since June 1st which is 4.51" below average but is still 5.65 inches above average since January 1st with 33.08".
