Highs and lows for the next 5 days

Much colder is on the way for next week.

An arctic blast will move into Mid-Missouri on Veteran's Day. Ahead of the front, highs will be in the low-to-mid 60s Friday and Saturday, then mid-to-upper 50s Sunday and Monday.

The front will likely move through the area Monday afternoon, dropping temperatures from the 50s into the 30s by the evening. Winds will shift sharply to the north as the front passes, plunging wind chills into the low 30s and 20s.

There is a slight chance a few sprinkles or flurries could drift through the area during the evening.

Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will only reach the upper 30s with morning lows in the low 20s.

Typical highs during this period are in the mid 50s with lows in the mid 30s.
