EF-1 tornado path in Monroe County
PARIS, Mo. -

Survey teams from the National Weather Service say two tornadoes briefly touched down in Monroe County Wednesday evening.

The NWS office in St. Louis says an EF-1 tornado touched down about 11 miles southwest of Paris at 5:31 p.m. and traveled for seven miles until it was three miles south of the town.

The survey team says damage was intermittent along that path and that there were no fatalities or injuries. An EF-1 tornado has winds of 86-110 mph.

A second, weak EF-0 tornado touched down for just one minute at 5:35 p.m. with a path length of a tenth of a mile.

The team also says straight-line winds of 60-90 mph were the cause for damage in Monroe City Wednesday evening.

A full damage report was released by the National Weather Service.
