Showers and t-storms will continue to move through Mid-Missouri through Thursday with a strong spring storm system.  A few showers will be possible Tuesday morning but most of the day will be cloudy and cool. Spotty storms will develop Tuesday evening and lift north, mainly affecting areas north of I-70 into the early morning hours of Wednesday. Large hail and heavy rain are the main threats from storms Tuesday night.

Much warmer air will move north into Mid-Missouri Wednesday ahead of a strong cold front. As the air becomes more unstable in the afternoon, spotty storms will be possible, some which could become severe. Storms will become more likely Wednesday evening and overnight as the cold front slowly moves east. Damaging wind, large hail and isolated tornadoes are the primary severe weather threats. Heavy rain is likely.

A line of storms with heavy rain will slowly move east through the day Thursday, ending Thursday evening. Rainfall amounts of 2-3 inches with locally higher amounts are possible through Thursday and could lead to flooding.
