ABC 17's Gabrielle Deabler gives a recap of what happened over the 2013 spring and summer seasons.

We took a look back at rain records for the past year, and every month since June had below average precipitation.

The drier weather is a reminder of the extreme drought we experience two years ago with yet another drought last summer.

Summers in mid-Missouri, like all of our seasons, are variable year to year.

Missouri can deal with flooding one summer, then be concerned about drought the next summer.

Considering mid-Missouri has had back to back summers with drought, there is some concern about rainfall in the upcoming growing season which is following our drier normal winter.
