COLUMBIA, Mo. -

Approximately 6,000 Columbia residents woke up to no electricity Sunday morning.

As of 7:30 a.m., Columbia Water & Light crews were working on the outage in south Columbia, according to the Boone County Emergency Management.

Some residents had their power back on around 10:30 a.m. and the remaining residents closer to 11:30 a.m.

Connie Kacprowicz with Columbia Water and Light told ABC 17 News there were two circuits on a transmission line at the Grindstone substation that were down.

There is no word yet on what caused the power outage.
