Man arrested following fatal Rolla shooting

A Rolla man has been arrested for first degree murder after fatally shooting another man.
Around 5:20 p.m. Thursday authorities got word about a shooting in the 13000 block of Private Drive 7136 in Rolla.
Police did a well-being check at the home and found 57-year-old Richard Finnell dead of an apparent gunshot wound.
Witnesses reported seeing 60-year-old David Lundin walking east on Private Drive 7136 with a gun.
Lundin alluded police for 3 hours, until witnesses called in to Phelps County Central Communications saying they saw a suspicious man in the 1200 block of Winchester Drive.
Missouri S&T warned students to be on alert.
Rolla police took Lundin into custody just before 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
Lundin is being held at the Phelps County jail.
