Columbia police arrested Christopher Mears, 35, early Tuesday morning just north of I-70.
He is accused of kidnapping Cassandra Laronge in November. She was found in Colorado Springs, Colo.about two weeks later.
Police told ABC 17 News officers arrested Mears on two warrants for domestic assault against Laronge out of Callaway County. He is being held on a $70,000 bond.

There have also been several cases of Mears assaulting Laronge. Court documents state Mears has reportedly broken her teeth, grabbed her, thrown her against hard objects, and threatened to kill her.
In all of the incidents, Mears fled while Laronge was talking with police.
