Howard Co. Coroner's Inquest

The Howard County Coroner held a coroner's inquest Wednesday, which ruled an inmate's death a suicide.

The inquest started Wednesday morning at 9:00 and lasted until noon.

Larry Kincheloe was arrested for driving while intoxicated on May 8.

The officer who arrested Kincheloe said, "He kept telling me I ruined his life. He was uncooperative."

The jailer said, "After he started to calm down he ate dinner, drank some tea or what ever he asked for. He even asked for a book to read."

The jailer then said, "I heard choking noises coming from Kincheloe's cell and that's when I saw him hanged by his shoestrings."

Deputies called paramedics and an ambulance, which showed up minutes later.

The medics said his heart stopped.

The jury concluded, "Kincheloe's death was in fact a suicide and law enforcement did no wrong doing.

They said police responded in a timely manner and did all they could to save Kincheloe's life."
