ASHLAND, Mo. -

A Moberly woman suffered moderate injuries in a morning car crash on Highway 63 in Boone County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 57-year-old Mary L. James was traveling southbound on Highway 63 near Claysville Road around 5:15 a.m. when she drove off the road and into a creek. The car overturned and James was ejected from the vehicle.

She was transported by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.

Troopers say James was not wearing a seat belt.
