JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -

Jefferson City police arrested five people for a string of mailbox vandalism incidents around the capital city.

Officers got a complaint Sunday afternoon about someone throwing filled water bottles at mailboxes on Haaf Drive. Police used the vehicle description they got to find and stop the suspect vehicle on Monroe Street.

Five adults - four men and one woman - inside the vehicle admitted to damaging 5-10 mailboxes. All were arrested on suspicion of property destruction.
