SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. -

A school near the Lake of the Ozarks was briefly evacuated Monday after a truck crashed into power lines near the school.

The Sunrise Beach Police Department says a semi-truck struck a power line near Highway 5 and Lake Road 533.

The crash caused a power line to fall on the road and atop a parked car at Hurricane Deck Elementary School.

Officials say the school was briefly evacuated due to the smell of smoke inside the building. There were no injures reported.

Co-Mo Electric Cooperative crews were able to fix the line and the road has reopened to traffic.
