BOONE Co., Mo. -

Investigators are actively searching for more details about a string of burglaries starting late last year in mid-December near the Lake of the Woods area east of Columbia.

On Friday the Boone County Sheriff's Department said the break-ins were reported at several homes on Godas Drive, North Villa Drive, Pinehurst Drive. The BP Convenience Store on St. Charles Road was also burglarized around 3:15 a.m. December 15.

All the residential crimes happened during the day or early evening hours. The suspects also forced their way in, except for one case where somebody gained access through an unlocked window.

Thieves escaped with TVs, jewelry, electronics, cash, one rifle, alcohol and other valuables. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (573) 875-TIPS (7477).
