COLUMBIA, Mo. -

Columbia Police are trying to enforce safe driving due to what they're calling a continued problem with unlicensed, revoked, suspended, and uninsured drivers.

Police will be conducting a safety checkpoint in Columbia between May 5 and May 11 to address these problems, and enforce seatbelt laws.

In a news release, police said the checkpoint location will not be random, but based on crash data near the checkpoint.

Drivers who are stopped at the checkpoint will be asked to show their driver's license and insurance.
