The Columbia Police Department responded to three incidents early Sunday morning.
The first robbery happened on Grant Court around 12:30 a.m.
Police say two males pulled a gun on a man in his garage and took off with an undisclosed amount of money and the victim's belongings.
A burglary happened shortly thereafter on Teakwood Court, just down the street from the robbery on Grant Court.
Police said the suspect or suspects did not make contact with anyone in the house.
A resident in the home told ABC 17 News a bag from his garage that held his laptop and cellphone was taken.
After the burglary, another robbery on Teakwood Court ended in an exchange of gunfire.
Neighbors told ABC 17 News one of the two suspects held the resident of the house at gunpoint and demanded the keys to his car.
They said the resident went back inside and fired in self-defense when one of the suspects fired at him.
The two suspects escaped on foot.
Police said they believe all three incidents are related.
