Police say a man licked a police officer's eye while resisting arrest.

Christopher Nicholas Hiatt, 34, of Walkerville, Mont. called the police on Saturday to report a theft, reported the Billings Gazette. After discovering that Hiatt had an active arrest warrant from a neighboring county, officers sought to arrest him outside a local bar. Police say Hiatt resisted when they tried to handcuff him. When officers tried to put him in a patrol car, he licked one of the officers in the eye.

Hiatt is in jail on a felony charge of assault on a peace officer and misdemeanor charges of assault with a bodily fluid, criminal contempt and probation violation. The assault with a bodily fluid charge comes from the saliva.
