A British woman recovering from a scooter accident awoke to discover she's four months pregnant.
Gemma Holmes, 26, collided with a parked car while riding her scooter in Hilperton, England, last September. The impact tossed her body across a busy street and into a lamp post, according to The Huffington Post.
In a coma with severe head injuries and a broken back, doctors didn't think she'd make it.
But Holmes woke up three months after the crash to find she was not only alive, but four months pregnant, the Wiltshire Times reported.
Suffering from amnesia, Holmes couldn't remember what had happened in the last three years, including the identity of her baby's father or how they met.
She decided to keep the baby, and gave birth to a boy named Rueben on May 2.
Holmes and the baby's father have reunited, but are not together romantically, according to The Daily Mail.
