Sixty-two missed days of school landed one elementary school student's mom in jail.
Suffolk police arrested Stacey Warmack, the mother of a 12-year-old student at Booker T. Washington Elementary in Virginia.
"I don't think he's missed 62 days of school, but if that's what they're saying I'm not gonna say no," she said.
Warmack said the school bus doesn't come to her house, and she couldn't take him because she had back surgery.
And he wanted to be with his mom, she said.
"He would not leave me. He would not leave this house for nothing in the world. He wanted to be up on his mom, being with me and everything and that's just how my son is. He's a mother's boy," she said.
