Evan Millward joined the ABC 17 News team in September 2011 and is currently a Reporter and Weekend Anchor.
Evan grew up in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Broadcast News. While he was in Ohio, he worked as a videographer for the Columbus Dispatch and was also an anchor and reporter for WOUB.
He was awarded first place in the breaking news coverage category from the Ohio Associated Press Broadcast in 2011. He also received the Ohio First Amendment Award in 2011 from the Society of Professional Journalists and was recognized by both the Ohio Broadcasters Association and National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences - Ohio Valley Chapter.
Evan is constantly searching for people who have a story to tell that fits into a bigger issue or context. He examines an issue's problems and solutions from the viewpoints of community members and leaders. As an anchor, reporter, and producer, he says he works around the clock and doesn't stop reporting the news just because business hours have ended.
