Two Tiger freshmen will transfer

Two Tiger freshmen have decided to transfer from the Missouri basketball program.
Negus Webster-Chan and Dominique Bull have informed head coach Frank Haith they would like to leave the program to play closer to home and get more playing time.
Webster-Chan is from Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. Bull is from Worcester, Massachusetts.
Haith released a statement Tuesday saying:
“Dominique and Negus were great representatives of our program and I want to thank them for their contributions both on and off the basketball court. We will certainly do anything we can to help them as they begin the recruiting process, and wish them nothing but the best moving forward.”
A 6-foot-7 combo guard, Webster-Chan averaged 2.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in 32 games this season. He made six starts and hit 16 of 59 shots from three-point range.
This is what Webster-Chan had to say about his decision:
“I just want to find a style that is more suited for me, but I wish Mizzou the best of luck in the future and I’m grateful to the Tiger community for their support over the past year.”
Bull scored his first career point in Missouri’s win over Arkansas and played in nine games, averaging 1.6 minutes a contest.
“I enjoyed my time as a Missouri Tiger, but wanted to expand my role on the court and hopefully do it in a situation that’s closer to my family," Bull said in his released statement.
The decision to transfer by these two means Haith now has two more open scholarships he can use for the 2013 recruiting class. As of this moment, that class consists of: point guard Wesley Clark, forward Johnathan Williams III, forward Torren Jones, and forward/center Keanau Post.
Haith and the rest of Tiger Nation are still awaiting junior Phil Pressey's decision whether to stay in Columbia for his senior season or to leave for the 2013 NBA Draft. Under NCAA rules, if Pressey does test the NBA waters, he has until April 16 to withdraw from the draft and maintain his college eligibility.
