Kristie Reeter joined the ABC 17 News team in July 2008 and is currently the anchor of ABC 17 News This morning.
Kristie is a native of Bloomington, Illinois and graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Communication Studies and Political Science. After working at WEIU in Charleston as an anchor and reporter, she moved to Columbia to become a producer at ABC 17. During her time at ABC 17, she's been a reporter and weekend anchor, and is now the the anchor of ABC 17 News This Morning.
In 2012, she earned awards from the Missouri Broadcasters Association for investigative reporting and from the Society of Professional Journalists for general reporting.
While everyone else is sleeping, Kristie follows the latest breaking news from overnight and keeps viewers updated with what they need to know before starting their day. Through her special reports, she hopes to delve into issues the impact everyone's life, including school safety, crime trends or the latest tech stories.
